Ipod Touch 3rd Gen External batterys? h ...

I recently got an ipod touch 3rd gen. Downloaded a bunch of apps and games and found out first hand that they suck through the battery in no time. Using some of the apps can drain the battery in 3 hours. Not a problem if you are anywhere near a computer or outlet, but if you are on a plane or long bus trip you could be SOL for a while. So I have been looking around and there are some products out there that will do this but its hard to find reliable evidence of a product that will actually work. I don't think there is an Apple approved product is there? And the newer Ipod touch's seem to have problems with a lot of the products out there. So what I would like to find is an external charger that is cheap and will charge my ipod touch 3rd gen when I plug it into it. Preferably one that just uses AA batteries so I can make sure it will always be charged. Anyone know a product that will actually work and be reliable? Thanks.Ipod Touch 3rd Gen External batterys? h ...
This one from Energizer seems to fit the bill and at 12 bucks the price seems right. I can't personally vouch for the product, but the reviews from amazon.com seem solid. Good luck with your search!Ipod Touch 3rd Gen External batterys? h ...
I don't think that will work with the newest ipod touch. I've done some more research and I'm not sure if I'm going to find anything. There are some, but they are $60 or more and I'm not sure if they would be worth it.Anyone have any better luck?

One guy mentioned recharging his iPhone 3GS 2x with it and having 5-6 hours on the charger still remaining... and another said he only could charge his 3GS to 35% before the charger was out of juice. In any case, if it's compatible with 2G touches and 3GS iPhones, it should work just fine with your touch. Of course, it would be best to play with it yourself to see if you liked it before buying, though that's not likely possible. As you said, this one has the pricepoint going for it. There are others, but 50-80 bucks is a big jump from this one.
thanks for the help. Since its so cheap I might try it out. Thanks!
