Yeah I saw a video of an unreal tournament level earlier today on another forum. Will be interesting to see what comes our way once this makes it into the hands of the devs.Did you guys see this today? Unreal Engi ...
Pretty cool, although I'd imagine it'll eat battery life like nothing.

And I'm probably the only person who has no desire to play FPS games on the iPhone with virtual controls.

Especially if they add on online multiplayer with the engine.
I don't play most games on my iPhone longer than 5 minutes... I would love to play some FPS action for a quick little fix during the day :) Now if I want to play through a campaign or play multiplayer, I'll load up my 360.

You're not the only one...

They should make a gamepad that fits snuggly with the iPod Touch (3.0 supports it...)
with a lack of buttons the iphone cannot put this engine to goo use.

By the time a gamepad add-on and a decent library of games that support it are released, the PSP 2 will be on it's way. The PSP 2 will be nearly twice as powerful as the iPhone and will hopefully have that second analog stick we've been begging for.

[/QUOTE]wouldnt that make the price even higher than the psp go and if they sold it at less than the manufacturing device they would lose money and considering how the psp go sells and I dont think they want to do that

That is a game design issue not an engine issue. The engine does not run because there is a controller with buttons plugged in. I'm sure there are limitations of the iPhone version of this engine with or without buttons.

The engine is used primarily for shooters, which are not very good in the iphone since it doesn't have buttons. They are wasting their time porting this engine to the ihone.

The PSP 2 would probably cost about 100$ more than the PSP Go at launch, but as Sony releases slimmer models, the price will drop over the years just like the first PSP..

I don't think so. I'm just saying that is what the price would be if it were to be released within the next few years. We don't even know the official specs of the system and I doubt they would release a handheld at that price. I think Sony learned their lesson...

Actually, some games, like NOVA, work quite well. So that proves that FPSs on iPhone, depending on how much the dev cares about the controls, don't always suck.
Wow this will show what the ipod/iphone is capable of
