Would You Suggest Buying an iPhone???

Now if I am ever on the market for a portable media device that can play games, make calls, and do a lot of other stuff, I would look at the iPhone. But I want to know if you would suggest to me an iPhone. Perhaps a 3GS... I am not a big Apple fan, I do not have an iPod (any), I use a Macbook from school and am using it right now... but I have several problems with it except for the fact that Firefox is one of the best browsers... I have used. But other than that the Macbook and other Macs are just meh... but the iPhone looks great (I know I could get an iPod Touch, but you still have to pay for an update, so why not just pay a bit more for a phone as well). I mean as a gaming device its not better than the other 2, however for what it offers it looks great. So all in all what Im trying to ask is... convince me to want an iPhone. Tell me your experiences with iPhones and why you bought it. Would you suggest I get one?PS I do not have a phone (used to but my sister lost it... ughh...Would You Suggest Buying an iPhone???
Get an Android-based phone. It's better. Would You Suggest Buying an iPhone???

I used to have an LG Dare before getting my iPhone 3G and that was CRAP compared to the iPhone.. And I'm an Apple hater! But I've had the iPhone for a little over a week now and I'm still in love with it! If you can pay the bill and the bill seems reasonable to you then I say yes go for the iPhone.
bought the iphone since i don't like carrying two devices all the time (cell and ipod)...plus the iphone got lots of apps/games available to keep u preoccupied
i wouldn't, Apple seems to have this business plan of releasing a somewhat ''innovative'' product that still lacks common features in present devices (like MMS or video chat in phones), gets heaps of sales in that version then releases a new version with an extra added ''new'' feature (3G lol), gets heaps of sales from that and the cycle continues.I suggest getting an iPod Touch (if you want the apps, music player and all that), and a proper (non-Apple) phone as well.
i like mine

Yea, from input of my friends, they say the Android > iPhone
Android most certainly is the superior option, however its just now beginning to open up to the gaming market (right now, all the awesome stuff is racers and ports). If you must get an iphone, I suggest you wait. Verizon is heavily rumored to be getting the next gen iphone in the coming months, meaning they would have the most powerful Silder android and the iphone on their awesome network.
no i would not suggest getting an iphone and here are my reasons.att rapes its customers with their rates. their coverage really is spotty and their network is crowded. those are not faults of the iphone itself however. the iphone cant do java, cant do flash. some of its memory is used for its phone features so its actually slower than the touch, which is noticeable on some apps. its not a very good ipod, again unless you jailbreak. you can make what is called on-the-go playlist but customizing more than that isnt happening from the phone. you cant run 2 apps at the same time. you cant disable the screen from repositioning, which is a pain at times. the battery life isnt as great as my g1 or blackberry, and thats with all 3 having the same features running, wifi,3G and bluetooth.i would recommend getting an iphone only if you really love apps because they cant be beat in that department and/or if you plan on jailbreaking it. also you can try one for 30 days but try the hell out of it. then try a blackberry curve or bold, my fav phone btw.
I would suggest to purchase an iPhone. However I do live in Finland where there is no problemos with the operator - the operator that provides iPhones here (TeliaSonera) is a good one.

And about the phone - i have had iPhone 3G for over a year and it is really the phone to have. I still get all fuzzy when using it - and I have had it over a year. It continues to amaze me with flawless performance and the abundance of applications for it.

I love it.
