Help! computer says ipod touch is camera

I just got a brand new ipod touch. i went to plug it in and my computer recognizes it as a camera. i know it can store photos and whatnot but its brand new, it has no photos, help???Help! computer says ipod touch is camera

Yeah, I find I have better luck with iTunes open first too, although Windows still identifies it as a camera (just close the prompt). It should work with iTunes closed as well, as long as you have the 'open iTunes when connected' option ticked.



I like it showing up as a camera as it means I can easily transfer over pictures I've saved from websites and screenshots I've taken of games on the Touch itself.
Or, if you forgot to turn on iTunes, just hit cancel or close on that idiotic window and open iTunes. Should attempt to recognize your ipod afterwards. I sync my brother's for him all the time and I always mess up the order for some reason (you think i'd have it down by now lulz)
yeah you need to itunes open before you plug the ipod in. i believe you can switch the settings on itunes so that it opens as soon as you plug in the ipod
