Is anyone interested in text-based games ...

I am wondering iof anyone is interested in text-based games. I am considering doing an rpg for java-based devices, something reminiscent of the old Amiga, C64, and DOS AD%26D RPGs, but only in text.Does every game have to have hollywood visuals, and an orchestral score to go with it to be interesting these days? :)Is anyone interested in text-based games ...

If you mean no graphics at all then hell no. I don't think you got my post right, it depends on how you would present the game, if it's interesting, then you can even without those hollywood visuals.

For some strange reason, it took you five posts in a VERY clearly posted topic to figure out what was going on. Any other opinions from others who actually understand what a text-based game is?
ehh... text based games bore the crap outta me. lol. But that's just me, i've never been able to play any text-based games.EDIT: but you'll be suprised, there are quite a few people who are into it...
