HTC Hero a good buy?

I'm thinking of getting this for Christmas.HTC Hero a good buy?
its an awesome phone, and the sense ui looks really really good.

when you say the ''hero'' you mean sprints version? or the original hero? i dont think the original hero can use 3g over here in the us.



anyways the appstore isnt as good as the apple app store, but if apps arent a big deal, then i would say go for it.HTC Hero a good buy?
I'm talking about the cellular south Hero, It's the 6250 version. I got it yesterday, I really like it.
A friend of mine has got the Hero a couple of months ago. All in all it's a nice phone. The UI is a bit sluggish at times and the App Store is in no way compareable to Apple's one. The good thing is that there are less junk apps though :)On the other hand Android is not yet very stable.. it happened to crash more than once.. but I guess that's just because it's a pretty new OS.
NoI say this for a single reason: It is a last generation phone. There are quite a few new, amazing androids coming along, including the beastly Nexus One, and from the looks of things, Nexus One is going to get tossed around on all the networks under a different name/appearance, same hardware. If you didn't get it already, wait.
